Diving in Area Marina Protteta di Capo Carbonara *

The Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area is located south and east of the island of Sardinia. It includes great coral formations and many caves with the marine life that goes along with both. Just like Tavolara, there are three zones with differing levels of access and rules that govern each so make sure you consult a local guide organization before diving. This is an effort for conservation of many of the species in the area that have been threatened over the years from the pervasiveness of tourism in the area and overfishing.
